Welcome to fellow Ultimate Blog Partiers

Ultimate Blog Party 2009

Welcome to Sew Simple Mom! I am so excited to have my blog ready for the amazing Ultimate Blog Party. Thanks to all that have stopped by my site!

My name is Kim I am happily married to a marvelous man for 7 years now. We met in college and lost touch over the years. When we stumbled upon each other years later things just clicked.

I am the proud mom to a 5 year old precocious princess who tries me everyday. I also have a 2 year old scurvy pirate who is so delicious I just want to bite his cheeks.

I finally decided to jump into the blogosphere with a blog of my very own, mainly because I just love reading blogs and wanted to join in on the fun. I mostly blog about my family, my sewing and life in general. My blog is new and is just evolving I would love for you to keep checking it out as it finds it niche.

There are so many amazing prizes that are being offered at the party. I would just LOVE #15 ChicBud Earphones with Swarovski Crystals; #58 A Kitchen Aid Artisan Stand Mixer Provided by: Moms Who Think. #USC 16 — $50 gift certificate to Kristen’s Custom Creations . INTL 11 — $50 gift bundle to YouCanMakeThis.com.

If those prizes are already taken I would love any prize available especially #19,21,22, 98, 101, 132, INTL 12, INTL 56, INTL 57, USC 51, USC 60.

I am so excited to start visiting all the different blogs that have joined the party as well. If you like my blog please add yourself to my followers or subscribers list and I can be found on Twitter as well.

I would love to see who has stopped by so if you wouldn't mind checking in below I would appreciate it. I will go and visit your blog as well.

Spring Is Here!

I couldn't believe my eyes when I walked outside this morning and these were waiting for me.

We have had non-stop rain for 5 days straight. Maybe all the rain is what made the hyacinths sprout so soon.

I hope everyone has a very happy 1st day of spring!!

St. Patricks Day

Photobucket

Happy St. Patricks Day!!!

We just love St. Patricks day in our family, we are part Irish so it must be in our blood. Its days like today where I reminice about those drunken days drinking green beer all day long into the night. But, alas we are older now, and I don't think we could make it through the day and into the night as we did when we were younger.

Now that we have kids, it was brought to my attention that we need to start a new St. Patricks Day tradition. The princess informed me yesterday that she just had to have a special shirt for school today. I didn't want to go to the store and purchase one, so I decided to make her one. I had this fabric left over from last year so there was no expense. Here she is all dressed for school.

I hope you all have a fabulous and safe St. Pat's day!!

Amy Butler Apron Swap

Holly from Mommy Holly was so nice to host a Amy Butler Apron Swap. My partner Wendy in the Netherlands sent me the nicest email about the apron that I made. I am so happy that she likes it so much because I put allot of TLC into it.

The pattern I used for this swap was the the Montessori By Hand Emmeline Pattern. It is a very nice pattern, with great directions and is easy to follow. I actually loved the pattern so much I used it for the other apron swap I had this month.

I was lucky enough to be part of Lucy and Shanee's Sugar Spice and Everything Nice Apron Swap. My partner was Betty and I just received a great email from her letting me know that she received my apron. So I figured it was ok to go ahead and post photos of the apron I made on my blog.

I used the delicious Pop Garden fabric designed by Heather Bailey. I really love this fabric and I really didn't want to cut the fabric but I knew the apron would be going to a great new home.

Once again I used the fabulous Montessori By Hand Emmeline Pattern. It was a very nice pattern, with great directions and was simple to follow.
